Standing for Parents Against Phone Addiction in Young Adolescents,  PAPAYA’s vision is to empower families to get the right balance with technology, and in turn, promote wellness and improved mental health in adolescents.

We think the PAPAYA website is a great resource for parents thinking through these issues.  With a section of the website devoted to ‘Solutions’, covering Parent Control Apps and Family Contracts, the website is an incredibly informative and useful tool for making decisions as a family on how to use technology.  Find out more here

Care for the Family have a number of fantastic support services for families, which are detailed below.

Single Parent Families and Stepfamilies

Visit the Care for the Family website to find lots of encouraging articles, stories and tips for single parent and step families, as well as links to other organisations and groups.  Care for the Family also run annual ‘Take a Break Action Holidays’ for single parent families and have a Facebook community.  Find out more here

Additional Needs Support
Care for the Family have articles and stories on their website to encourage and support parents of children with additional needs.  Alongside this, they also run a befriending service, offering support and understanding to parents.  All befrienders are trained and are, themselves, parents of children with additional needs. Care for the Family have produced many resources to support those who have been bereaved – whether the loss has been a sibling, partner or child.  They run a number of weekends throughout the year, as well as a telephone befriending service. Find out more here
